 About:

DDMRP is a formal planning and execution method designed to correct the inadequacies and inappropriate rules of conventional Material Requirements Planning (MRP) given today’s more volatile, complex and service oriented supply and manufacturing scenarios.  The method was first fully articulated in the latest edition of Orlicky’s Material Requirements Planning (McGraw-Hill, 2011) co-authored by Carol Ptak and Chad Smith.  Chad Smith serves as the DDP Program Director.

Course Preparation:

Please review the prep information at the bottom of the page at https://www.demanddriveninstitute.com/demand-driven-planner-ddp

Student prep(the text review is optional):

The official text of the DDP is Demand Driven Material Requirements Planning (Ptak and Smith, Industrial Press 2016)

?Program attendees should read the following white papers:

The Power of Decoupling - Unlocking the Secret to Demand Driven Material Requirements Planning (DDMRP)
Lean Finds a Friend in DDMRP

?Program attendees should review the Demand Driven Institute Dictionary.

?Participants preparing for the course should thoroughly review the DDMRP page on this site.

Students will take away from this program all the details need to launch their own DDRMP projects.  Included in the class will be demostration and sharing of a excel pilot worksheet.
