Dan Emerson PLOG - WWL Logistics

Dan Emerson is a global supply chain logistics executive with over twenty years of experience in both unionized and non-unionized organizations. His experience includes: developing and leveraging multi-level international supply chains, procurement streams, logistics, distribution and transportation networks; with a focus on mitigating risk, improving the ROI and delivering exceptional customer service.

Dan works closely with clients, suppliers, vendors, and employees to negotiate and deliver solutions that benefit all parties.
He is a graduate of Humber College in the field of Communications and Public Relations and received his PLog in 2011.

Stuart East CPIM, CLTD, CQIA - Purolator

Stuart is an experienced warehouse operations and logistics professional with 15+ years in, process improvement, inventory management, and order accuracy techniques. During Stuart’s career he has worked for several large corporation’s in leadership roles where he contributed to large process improvement cost savings initiatives. Companies include Canada Bread, DHL Express, Progressive Waste Solutions, and currently Purolator. 

Stuart’s motto is to always put people first, and believes that if you take care of the small things, the big things take care of themselves. 

Stuart also owns a small tourism company in Puerto Vallarta Mexico that he manages remotely, and in his spare time enjoys spending time in Mexico fishing.

Rajeev Saxena CSCP - MSC Shipping

Rajeev Saxena is a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), with over 24 years of international experience in maritime industry. He also holds an MBA and Master’s degree in Economics. After serving Indian Navy for 10 years as Logistics Manager, in 2004, he joined Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) in Dubai, which is the 2nd largest container carrier in the world. As Commercial Manager, he led numerous business development projects in Middle East encompassing countries like UAE, Iran, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain etc..

In 2010, he migrated to Montreal, Canada and joined MSC Canada as Line Manager. Next year, he was deployed in Vancouver to initiate new business expansion strategies at West Coast. Since last 7 years, Rajeev has been spearheading all commercial and business operations at West Coast for MSC.

In 2017, Rajeev also supervised creation of branch model in Vancouver. Achieved hiring, training, coaching of over 15 new employees in addition to enforce process improvements and execution of office move to improved location. Currently Rajeev is handling entire business operations of MSC Canada at West Coast as Director – Branch Western Canada. He can be reached at or on LinkedIn.      

Darryl Anderson MBA - CMILT - Wave Point Consulting

Transportation and logistics executive skilled in in building teams to overcome the obstacles of moving goods and people to market.  Darryl has worked with international trade, supply chain participants, transport service providers and shippers and tourism sector stakeholder for 28 years.

Mr. Anderson integrates global macroeconomic trends with local market conditions, operational insights and regulatory knowledge to enlarge market share and maximize margin for small and mid-cap firms.  He helps clients achieve the lowest cost delivery of products utilizing, road, rail, marine transport as well as other logistics options. Thus, driving improved business performance, shareholder value and creating competitive advantage. 

Mr. Anderson’s private sector leadership roles have included Managing Director, Wave Point Consulting Ltd, President & CEO of the Port Alberni Port Authority, Business Development Manager for the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority. Public sector involvement includes serving as Policy Manager, Rail, Intermodal & Marine for Alberta Transportation, Manager, Trade Policy and Business Intelligence for Alberta Energy departments and Chief Harbour Authority Implementation for Fisheries and Oceans Canada. 

Darryl earned his MBA (with Distinction) from the Australian Maritime College, Bachelor’s degree from Trinity Western University and a diploma in urban land economics from the University of British Columbia. Mr. Anderson also holds a Certificate in Shipping & Maritime Operations from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.  He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transportation – North America and the APICS Vancouver Island Subchapter. 

Phillip Davies - MA, BA, CITT - Davies Transportation Consulting 

Philip Davies is a transportation economist who has over thirty five years of experience in market research, freight planning and intercity passenger transportation. He is Principal of Davies Transportation Consulting Inc., a Vancouver-based firm providing a broad range of transportation consulting services in diverse fields including industrial economics, railways, drayage, port operations, goods movement and land use, intermodal facilities, economic analysis and program review.

Mr. Davies holds an MA in Economics and a BA Hon. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Saskatchewan, and received a CITT Diploma in Transportation Management in 1995. Mr. Davies is a member of the International Trade and Transportation Committee at the U.S. Transportation Research Board, National Academy of Sciences. He served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Transportation Research Forum from 2009 to 2016, and is Past President of the Vancouver Transportation Club.
