Our profession, supply chain management, has been in the spotlight since the beginning of the pandemic.

And, it has become apparent how complex and important our profession is to everyone around the world, including how to manage risk in a VUCA world. VUCA stands for Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity.

With that backdrop, we’ll start our dialogue with a few terms and definitions supporting risk management and resiliency. We’ll build on those definitions and a few basic risk management principles and begin to talk about the “W-like” Recovery and the “3-R’s”: Respond, Recover & Renew. We’ll sprinkle in a few case studies to give you some context across several industry sectors, depicting how they have responded, recovered and are renewing their supply chains, which includes supply chain risk management best practices.

We’ll attempt to utilize an online polling application to provide audience participation. And finally, we’ll provide a few helpful hints about surviving and thriving in the COVID-19 era. Looking forward to a very interactive and informative holiday session.
